At the outset, you must navigate to the National Cyber Crime Portal. Thereafter, you will be routed to the home page. Click on “File a complaint” button once the page is fully loaded.

Thereafter, you will be given a general information box on the significance of the portal. Click on “I accept” to proceed further.

If this is your first time filing a cyber crime complaint, you will have to create a user account on the portal. To do so, click on “Click here for new user”.

Once you have set up your account, keep the following information handy before logging in and filing your complaint -

Provide details of the Incident. Use a minimum of 200 characters while you do so. Remember to not use any special characters such as - (#$@^*`’’~|!).
